Stakeholders are super important, they are the reason and the purpose for the creation of designs!
The funny part about my stakeholder experience for this project is that I sorta did it in a reverse order. I first picked the high school counselors, then picked the students. I thought having a stakeholder that could affect the students in more ways than one was very important. I then established a specific student group as my second stakeholder.
During the process of drafts for designs it definitely evolves. You find a feel for what the stakeholder would want and you attempt to design to reach that expectation. I think the more you work with an application you see what you like about it and learn to use it better. I think that for sure happened with me during these drafts.
Some advice I would suggest would be to use an external hard drive when creating and designing. I ran into the problem of having the scratch disk too full for my computer, therefore I got on Youtube and found a video that helped me solve this problem. I have been using Photoshop for about a week and I have ran into this problem twice… therefore you should probably invest in an external hard drive.
The apps Photoshop and InDesign are similar in the ways that you can create documents from scratch, insert photos and insert text.
The differences of the two apps is that Photoshop does not create page layouts like InDesign does. The ruler effect is helpful and Photoshop does not have that.
My drafts for the handouts for sure evolved over time and using the app more allowed me to see what worked for me and what did not.
